The dR1 is a general purposed chair. It has simultanously an agressive look due to its form but also an accessible and inviting expression which is caused by its opening. These angular exgrowths forms a sort of defensive cocoon, such as arms, they are opened towards you for welcome and at the same time they are protecting the sitting person.
dR1 is a chair which can be placed individually or combined with a table. It perfectly fits out for housing, as well as restaurants, offices and public spaces.
The slightness of the chair legs, made by a very fine square profile, is highlighted by the space left between the support and the seat, giving thus more importance to the devlopment of the hull.
The seat pan would be made ideally of one piece of slatted wood in natural beech, pressed in a molding. The surface can receive various options of tints or lacquers.The chair legs would be made of solid aluminium.
